Testimonia Fidei

A communion of prayer for the Christians killed for their faith. Their names, gathered from priests, bishops, and diocesan officials in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, and carried to parishes throughout the world, that the Church may remember her own.

Who We Are

Testimonia Fidei (Testimonies of Faith) is a Catholic nonprofit that works with dioceses and priests around the world to preserve the memory of those who have died for Christ. We maintain faithful archives of modern and historical Christians killed for the faith and ensure their names are lifted in prayer.

Each month, we send a curated list of names to parishes worldwide so that the faithful may remember them at Mass and entrust their souls to God in prayer.

I · Our Mission

They are not just statistics.
They are souls.

In places where the cross is no longer safe to wear, Catholics continue to suffer and die for their faith. Behind each report is a person: a catechist, a grandmother, a seminarian. Each has a name, a story, and a place in the life of the Church.

Testimonia Fidei exists to preserve those names and stories in a public directory, inviting the faithful to discover their lives, pray for them by name, and help ensure they are remembered.

Our hope is to work directly with priests in communities affected by persecution, recording names that might otherwise go unrecorded and sharing them with parishes around the world, so the deceased may be remembered at Mass and held in prayer by the wider Church.

They are our brothers and sisters. We remember them because the Body of Christ does not forget her members.

We exist to remind the faithful that the Church still suffers today, in real places and real lives, and to keep our eyes lifted to heaven.

"The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church."— Tertullian, c. 197 A.D.

III · The Process

How Names Reach the World

I

The Priest Gathers

Local priests in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia record the names of those killed for the faith, verified by the parish, the family, the diocese.

II

The Names Travel

Each month, the list is passed to our office through encrypted channels. Identifying details are protected when families remain in danger.

III

We Compose the List

Names, region, age, a single line of testimony. A candle for each. The list is bound into a single monthly prayer card.

IV

The Parish Remembers

Sent to parishes worldwide. Read aloud at Mass, prayed in adoration, written into the parish book of the dead.

IV · For Parishes
